Alafoss Lopi From Iceland, this 100% pure wool has a tradition of quality, which began in 1896. Icelandic sheep have been bred for over 1,000 years, and isolation has ensured a pure breed whose wool provides unique protection from the harsh climate. Icelandic wool is lighter, warmer, and more water-resistant than that found elsewhere. Lopi now has over 70 shades in the range, with new colours added this fall. Also available in 43 shades is Lopi Light, which is half the weight. It is a perfect alternative for those who want the advantage of Lopi wool but prefer a lighter weight yarn.
