This class is all about making holes on purpose. The focus will be on yarnovers & decreases used together to make simple lace patterns. Written instructions and charts will be explored. Other topics include yarn & needle choice, stretchy cast-ons & bind-offs, lifelines, fixing errors, and blocking.
Skills Required
- Knitters interested in this class must be comfortable with the basics. They need to be able to cast on & bind off, knit & purl, work k2tog & ssk decreases, and follow pattern instructions.
Materials:
- 4.5mm needles. We will be working flat, which means that either straight or circular needles will work, so bring what you are comfortable with. You will also need stitch markers (regular ones or removable one - either will work), a darning needle, scissors, and a pen/pencil for taking notes. Yarn is provided.
