Saturdays March 7th and 14th, 2026, 10am - 1pm
We’ll explore how it works, learn the basic stitches, and practice them by working some swatches. We’ll also explore shaping (increases & decreases). We will be working flat and in the round. We will be working with one colour and also with two colours of yarn.
Skills Required
- Knitters interested in this class must be comfortable with the basics. They need to be able to cast on & bind off, knit & purl, work in the round, work k2tog & ssk decreases, and work kfb increases.
Materials:
- 4.5mm circular needles (see note below) and a pen/pencil for taking notes. Yarn is provided.
- A note about needles: You will need a 40cm (16”) circular needle for the in-the-round parts of class. You can also use this same needle for the in-the-flat parts of class, but it may be easier/more comfortable if you have
a longer circular needle.
