size to best meet gauge
Gauge: 34sts and 48 = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
Finished Size:
small: expands to fit 8-9” (20-23cm) cuff and 8-9” (20-23cm) foot circumference
Medium/large: expands to fit 9-11” (23-28cm) cuff and 9-11” (23-28cm) foot circumference
Additional Supplies:
darning needle
- for best results choose 2 contrasting colourways
- these can be 2 variegated skeins, 2 solid skeins, or one of each
- yarn chosen for the main colour will present as purl bumps and will appear as highlights in the fabric
- the sample socks pictured were knit using 2 variegated skeins, a light main colour and a dark contrast colour
