- Our Shift Merino Gradient yarn has gone through a transformation to get to you! It arrived in our studio as a knitted piece of fabric (a blank). We’ve dyed it and wound it into a ball. All of this means that Shift Merino Gradient has an abundance of “energy”. You might find that your stitches appear to be much more textured than usual. No need to worry, your stitches will relax and fall into form once you have blocked your finished work. Each blank has been hand dyed and individually colour-fast tested. All of the yarns and fibres in this shop have been prepared by hand.
- Variations in colour may occur throughout small batches and within individual hand dyed skeins. These are the marks of a genuine handcrafted product that add the unique vitality which defines them. These variations, highlights and surprises have held my fascination for the past 20 years. I hope that they will bring the same sense of joy to you and your handcraft.
